The easYgen-800 is a compact Genset control unit manufactured by Woodward Inc. This module is part of the company’s easYgen-100 series, which is used for single-generator sets used in isolated standby, or in prime power applications. These controllers have the technology to control, protect, start and stop the Genset, as well as open and close circuit breakers. This product also offers protection from over and under-speed, loss of speed, and crank disconnect.
The easYgen-800 has a 3-phase, 4-wire generator voltage. It can be used for diesel or gas engines. The front panel, or HMI/human-machine interface, is a 480 x 272 TFT liquid crystal display that allows the front panel configuration of the unit. This control can be used under the protection of a pin number. The HMI can be flush-mounted if desired. The panel offers an internal event recorder with a real-time clock. This can record up to ninety-nine events; however, this data log can be extended using the unit’s SD card slot. This unit has one E-stop input and eight configurable inputs. It has six configurable relay outputs along with one fuel and one start relay output.
The easYgen-800 control is specifically unique compared to its model counterparts, the 800 models can be used with gasoline and diesel engines, while the 800 model counterparts can only be used with diesel engines.
