The Woodward DSLC lineup of devices was manufactured by Woodward Inc. These units were designed as multi-functional control attachment modules for three-phase, AC generators. They are able to be installed into generators with similar control setups, not solely Woodward brand generators.

The 9905-603 module is designed as one of the several units with control capabilities for the generator’s processing, load sensing, and distribution, as well as the VAR/PF control. This unit is also able to provide closure to any dead bus systems.

This unit is able to control elements of the generator such as the RMS power and can provide the generator with bumpless loading and unloading capabilities. It is able to provide operators with the option for either base loading, or set power levels for exporting, importing, and processing. The 9905-603 unit is able to utilize the local operating network, in order to accurately share the generator’s loads with isolated, multi-engine systems.

The 9905-603 is outfitted with handheld programming, which is designed to reduce the installation and calibration time. This allows the users to set up their control unit prior to starting up the system. The handheld programming allows the operators to also monitor the generator’s parameters, contact switches, and analog inputs and outputs.

The standard operating temperature range goes from -40 to 70 C, or -40 to 158 F. While in storage, the unit can be placed at -55 to 105 C, or -67 to 221 F.
