Model 9905-063 is an Automatic Generator Loading control unit. This device was developed and produced by the oldest motor control manufacturer in the country, Woodward Inc. The Woodward AGLC units are designed to be used alongside a set of load sharing and speed control modules. 

The standard applications for this AGLC unit supply generator operators with a soft load in and load out option. The loading is initiated by an auxiliary circuit breaker within the generator, while the unloading is processed when the unload contact is opened. It is able to achieve a bumpless transfer when paralleling an engine/generator set from a load-sharing set. It compares the available potential that is on the load sharing lines of the oncoming generator with the potential of the system. The 9905-063 AGLC unit is able to baseload between 1 and 15 generator sets that make up a utility. The baseload switch is either closed or jumpered, then the control automatically causes the system to ramp to the pre-set baseload level.

The environmental specifications this unit is outfitted with giving it an operational temperature range that reaches up to 85 degrees C, or 185 F, before failing to function.
