This is a hardware-only 723PLUS Digital Control model, no software is included. The 9906-620 external power supply is rated for 90–150 Vdc (125 Vdc nominal) making it the high voltage model. A low-voltage model (9906-619) and a low-voltage model with modified actuator filtering (9906-700) are also available.
723PLUS model 9906-620 is suitable for use in a range of speed control, generator load control, and droop-parallel generator applications to name a few. The range of applications in which this control can be used is in part due to the number of Woodward 9906-620 compatible accessories.
For generator load management, the 9906-620 can interface with a Digital Synchronizer and Load Control (DSLC). This 723PLUS control is also compatible with an SPM-A Synchronizer, as well as LinkNet nodes which provide additional I/O control functions. As is standard for 723PLUS controls, this unit has two-speed signal inputs. These inputs can be used for MPUs provided the speed input frequency is in the 400 Hz to 15 kHz range, or proximity switches if the range falls between 30 Hz and 15 kHz. Other I/Os on this device include discrete and analog inputs, a load-sharing input, analog outputs, and three relay contact outputs.
