Part number 8262-094 is a 723 Position Control by Woodward Governor. This unit is part of the company’s 723 Position Control System. There are two controls available in this system, model 8262-094 is designed for applications requiring 4-20mA actuator output. The 8262-094 Position Control is intended to be used with the Woodward 505 Digital Turbine Control. In the event of a 505 Control failure, this unit switches the actuator output signal from the 505 to 723 Position Control. After this switch occurs, the output signal can be raised or lowered manually.
Like other 723 and 723PLUS controls, the 8262-094 Position Control is monitored and adjusted using Woodward’s Hand Held Programmer (part number 9907-205), which plugs into one of the unit’s serial ports. This control may also be operated via the 723 Operation Board, an optional accessory to this system.
723 model 8262-094 should be installed in a location that permits adequate ventilation and maintains a −40 to +70 °C max operating temperature range, though 0 to +30 °C is preferable. This control should be mounted in a location where it is protected from water, high levels of condensation, vibration, and high-voltage or high-current devices.
