Here at AX Control Inc we offer a wide selection of new surplus and refurbished secondhand inventory. We offer Woodward Inc’s 2301A series Load and Sharing Control models, one of the models in this series is the 9905-195 control unit. The 9905-195 control unit is a forward-acting model that operates on a supply voltage of 88-131 Vac or 90-150 Vdc, the speed set input on this unit is 4-20 mA actuator current on this unit operates at 0-20 mA. The control is used for a wide variety of controlling mechanical loads for torque converter applications or split shaft gas turbines.
Two controls from the same series can be used to operate the tail shaft or split shaft governors and are typically installed on the control panel. To prevent excess heat buildup of the control the panel should be installed in a place that has a temperate range of negative forty to positive eighty-five degrees celsius and has plenty of ventilation.
With the 88-131 Vac or 90-150 Vdc, this indicates that the control panel is a high-voltage model. The high-voltage model needs to be installed away from other high-voltage, high-current devices or any device that would allow interference through electromagnetics. As you are working with your high-voltage model take caution that no wires are disconnected from the control while the prime mover is on, also note that the transformers attached to the control can develop extremely high voltages when open-circuited while the prime mover is being operated.
