About the 9905-150
Control unit 9905-150 of the Woodward Inc 2301A series is a reverse-acting, low-voltage control (low voltage controls operate at 10-40 Vdc). The actuator current on the control runs at 0-200 mA. When installing the control be sure that it is installed in a closed industrial cabinet or an electrical operating area that is closed off not abiding by this can cause issues with the execution of the control. The power consumption on the control unit is equal to or less than that of 15 W nominal. To set the droop for an isolated load:
- ensure that the contact used for the droop is open on terminal fourteen
- crank the engine
- adjust the potentiometer of rated speed as if it has no load
- apply the full load
- adjust the droop potentiometer for desired speed
If an error occurs where the low speed is not synchronized by the low idle speed potentiometer the cause could likely be the potentiometer itself, if that is the case and the potentiometer causes erratic behavior you will need to replace the entire control as erratic behavior of the control can cause serious injury to yourself and can even cause death.
