The Woodward 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Control series with control 9905-145 is available for sale at AX Control, where we also buy, repair, and refurbish the device as well. The 9905-145 is available in high-voltage or low-voltage models, if the model you have purchased is a high voltage model it will be indicated on the front of the sheet metal frame of the control whereas if a low voltage model it will not be indicated on the front of the control. Be advised that the power supply ratings for the models are different, the high voltage model can be operated with a Vac range of 88-132 while the low voltage model cannot be used with a Vac power supply at all.
Assess all terminals, screws, and the sheet metal frame to ensure that there is no damage, damage to any of these will hinder the function of the control and may cause malfunctions when operating it with an engine. The potentiometers will not be set when you receive the control and must be set by the operator.
While assessing and unpacking your control check the speed sensor for damage, and make sure that there is proper clearance between the sensor and gear if the sensor is an MPU (magnetic pickup), the clearance between the two should be at 0.010 to 0.040 inches.
