Part of GE Multilin’s 750 series, the 750-P5-G1-D5-HI-A20-R is a Feeder Management Relay that controls and safeguards feeder distribution systems. This unit is a high-power model of the series, accepting a control power input range of 88 to 300 VDC, 70 to 265 VAC at 48 to 62 Hz. Additionally, this particular model is equipped with 5 A phase current inputs and 1 A zero sequence current inputs, denoted by the model number’s “P5” and “G1” respectively. 

The 750-P5-G1-D5-HI-A20-R includes a number of protective features intended to safeguard the distribution feeder and extend system life. This includes frequency protection, neutral directional control, breaker control, cold load pickup control, and more. These features work closely with user-configured setpoints to determine when trips should occur, often relying on specified time intervals or thresholds (or both) to determine how the relay should handle conditions within the system.

The relay’s self-testing feature reduces system downtime and maintenance guesswork by running self-diagnostics to assess how the system is performing. Additionally, the data logging and event recording features provide users with integral data that is useful for reconfiguring setpoints, scheduling maintenance, and increasing system efficiency. The 750-P5-G1-D5-HI-A20-R can be programmed to record from 24 weeks of data per hour to 68 seconds of data per cycle.

Because the relay is designed to be highly configurable, the 750-P5-G1-D5-HI-A20-R contains many potential wiring schemes.
