About the IS420UCSCH1C
Mark VIe Controller IS420UCSCH1C is a quad-core controller that operates on 1.2 GHz AMD G-Series. This controller was manufactured by General Electric. As a quad-core controller, this device is equipped with a QNX Neutrino real-time hypervisor multi-tasking OS (operating system) that can run high-speed and high-reliability industrial applications. This controller is loaded with model-specific software depending on the type of application used. This device is a BoP (balance of plant) controller and will run the firmware and applications of the Mark VIe series utilizing IONet Interfaces. The IONet interface is notated as a special-purpose private Ethernet interface that will only support Mark control I/O controllers and packs.
Many, if not all of the remaining controllers not labeled as UCSC controllers use I/O on a backplane, the IS420UCSCH1C controller does not use this type of application and does not have the ability to host any I/O application. If this controller is being used in a redundant set all of the attached I/O networks will send input data to all of the attached controllers. The software and hardware on this controller have the ability to guarantee that if the controller has been shut down for maintenance or repair no single point of application input will be lost.
There are requirements needed when the IS420UCSCH1C controller is being mounted. When mounting the controller ensure that it is being directly mounted to the chosen mounting base using the two mounting screws, please note that a minimum of four inches for airflow is required above and below the UCSC.
