About the IS420UCSCH1A
The IS420UCSCH1A is a controller module from the Mark VIe Series. This controller was manufactured by GE Energy and has a QNX Neutrino operating system. When using the QNX Neutrino operating system, this controller has the ability to run high-reliability and high-speed applications. Not only does the controller use a QNX Operating System, but it uses EFA (Embedded Field Agent) technology to apply Predix cloud-based applications over a stable connection to deliver real-time data.
While most of the controllers used with the Mark VIe Series have the I/O feature, the IS420UCSCH1A controller does not have the capability to host any application I/Os. This controller can be used in a redundant set, and when in a redundant set, this controller will have all of the attached I/O networks to every controller within the redundant set which provides the controllers with input data.
When mounting the IS420UCSCH1A controller there are several requirements needed. Some of these requirements are:
- directly mounting the UCSC device to the mounting base
- leaving a minimum of approximately four inches of air gap above and below the UCSC
- ensuring that the operating temperature envelope is approximately an inch from any point on the UCSC controller
One of the communications that occur with the IS420UCSCH1A controller is with a UDH network. To communicate with the UDH network, a four-gigabyte flash drive will need to be configured with the ToolboxST application.
