Product Description

The IS420UCSBH3A controller is another version of the UCSB controller from the Mark VIe Series produced by General Electric. This controller is described as a Mark VIe or MarkStat Controller in the GEH-6725 Mark VIe and Mark VIeS Controls Equipment HazLoc Instruction Guide. This device is equipped with a 1200 MHz EP80579 Intel Microprocessor. This controller is very similar to the UCSC controller in the Mark VIe Series, and while the two controllers have different hardware forms the software forms on the two controllers are nearly identical. Some of the advantages to a controller such as this are the lack of battery and fan as well as the lack of required jumper settings. 

The IS420UCSBH3A controller has a variety of LEDs on the front plate, some of which are: 

• OT which displays amber when the internal components have surpassed the recommended limit

• ON which indicates the status of the restoration process

• DC which displays a solid green LED when the controller has been chosen as the designed controller

• ONL which will be solid green when the controller is online and running the application code

All of the above-listed LEDs are used to indicate the controllers status, information on these LEDs can be found in the GEH-6855 Volume I Mark VIeS Functional Safety Systems System Guide in chapter eight and specifically on page one hundred fifty-nine and one hundred sixty. 

This controller also has specific location certifications and standards needed to operate reliably. When mounted in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, or D, the IS420UCSBH3A controller requires ANSI/ISA-12.12.01-2015 or CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 213-15 standards.
