Product Description

The IS420UCPAH1A is a Mark VIe controller that includes integral I/O capabilities.  UCPA controllers are able to communicate with external I/O packs using their Simplex IONet.  The IS420UCPAH1A is one of several controllers available for the Mark VIe Speedtronic system, a control system marketed by General Electric for the management of industrial turbines. 

The IS420UCPAH1A features a small panel footprint and a single 12 VDC power supply that is able to run with lower power consumption (4 W).   The unit is air-cooled and does not require a battery or fan unit.  It is designed for ambient temperatures of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius.   This unit uses Control ST V05.04 or later, and the same ToolboxST configuration tools. 

The IS420UCPAH1A contains several components within its exterior enclosure.  This includes an IS400BPPCH2A processor board and an IS400STWCH1A base I/O board.   The STWCH1A board adds four digital I/Os, two analog inputs, and two Hall effect pulse inputs.  More information about the controller and it’s internal board components can be found through GE publications like GEH-6721 Volume II.
