Product Description
The IS420PFFAHIA is a component of General Electric’s Mark VIe Speedtronic control system. The MKVIe was one of the last Speedtronic distributed control systems marketed by General Electric for the control of gas and steam turbine systems, as well as nuclear, thermal, and wind options. This DCS system built upon previous Speedtronic systems and offered flexible configurations in simplex, dual, and triple-redundant forms with plant-wide control, ethernet connectivity, and high-performance and reliability.
The IS420PFFAHIA is an energy foundation Fieldbus gateway within the Mark VIe system. It works in conjunction with other modules and is enclosed in a cabinet, typically, with fans and filters to allow for proper ventilation. In many systems, there will be more than one foundation Fieldbus gateway used, with one module per cabinet. These are often paired with a Fieldbus diagnostic module.
The IS420PFFAHIA is only one kind of gateway available for the Mark VIe system. Other gateways including Profinet, Profibus DP, CANopen, Modbus/RTU, Modbus/TCP, and HART are also available for the system. These may be in stock here at AX Control; please check with your sales representative if you have any questions about availability.
