Product Description
The IS420ESWBH1A is one version of an unmanaged Ethernet switch that is used within the Mark VIe Speedtronic system created by General Electric. Systems like the Mark VIe and earlier Speedtronic control systems have been used since the late 1960s for the control of industrial turbine systems. With the ability for setup as a Simplex or TMR system, the Mark VIe can effectively control a single turbine or an entire plant with its unified approach using intuitive GE tools and Ethernet-based control.
The IS420ESWBH1A is one of five versions of ESWB switch that are available for use, and one of ten ESW# switches. Please be sure you order the proper switch for your needs. ESWA switches have 8 ports while ESWB switches have sixteen. While all switches support 100 Mbps FX uplink and HP-MDIX auto-sensing, and also offer a minimum 256K buffer with 4K MAC addresses, each individual switch has supports different kinds of connections. The IS420ESWBH1A has sixteen ports that can support 10/100Base TX connections. One port can support 100BASE-FX LC type connections.
ESWB switches sometimes experience voltage sag or brownout that will cause the switch to incorrectly reboot or fail to re-establish a communication link with the system. If you notice input voltage below the minimum 28V input but not completely to 0 V, please note your switch may not correctly reboot when voltages return to normal.
GE manuals and user guides will help you with additional information about the IS420ESWBH1A, including important handling and installation procedures that should be read before any kind of maintenance is attempted.
