Greater Product Series Information
The IS420ESWAH5A is the fifth and final version of the ESWA switches from General Electric as part of the Mark VIe and Mark VIeS Safety control systems. This product's Mark VIeS Turbine Control System Series, as it is known at length, has to be treated as a legacy product series. With this being the case, it is still something of a recently-updated series, as the potential wind turbine product application was only introduced with the rollout of the prior Mark VI Series of a similar full title.
Hardware Tips and Specifications
This switch is equipped with:
- eight copper 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports
- two single-mode fiber 100Base-LX10 ports
- an LC-type connection
- an additional IR SFP single-mode transducer
- a power requirement needed for this switch is a max of 1 A and twenty-four or twenty-eight volts of direct current
Mounting and Compatible Products
The IS420ESWAH5A switch can be DIN-rail mounted in two different configurations, the switch will be mounted on the long edge of the switch body either parallel or perpendicular to the rail. When the switch has been mounted there are specific operating conditions related to vibration. The switch can survive 0.5 G vertical and 1.0 G horizontal at fifteen to twenty hertz.
