Product Description
The IS420ESWAH3A is an unmanaged Ethernet switch designed to be used within the Mark VIe system from General Electric. One of the final Speedtronic systems released, the Mark VIe is an open-architecture control system for the management of gas, hydro, and steam industrial turbines. It features modern Fieldbus technology and uses Achilles certified controllers to comply with NERC version 5 Protection Reliability Standards for Critical Infrastructure.
The IS420ESWAH3A features eight ports that support 10/100BASE-TX. It is one of several versions of Ethernet switches that can be used within the Mark VIe system. It has been conformal coated and is approved for use in hazardous locations. The unit is designed to operate in ambient conditions from -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.
The IS420ESWAH3A is typically DIN-rail mounted. However, when the switch is used to replace third-party switches in existing applications, it can use the existing mounting brackets to locate onto DIN-rails or onto a panel. The unit has seven screw holes to support panel mounting.
The IS420ESWAH3A has been qualified by GE for use on its PROFINET networks as an industrial unmanaged switch between controller and slave devices.
