Product Description
The IS420ESWAH1A is a Mark VIe network switch. It is designed for use within the Mark VIe control system designed by General Electric for industrial turbine systems.
The IS420ESWAH1A is one of several unmanaged ethernet switches used within the Mark VIe system. These are designed and are used to meet the needs of real-time industrial control. Such switches include functions like HP-MDIX auto-sensing, 10/100 base copper that includes auto-negotiation, full and half-duplex negotiation, a minimum 256 KB buffer along with 4K media access control (MAC) addresses, and light emitting diodes (LED) indicators for power, link, duplex, activity, and speed indication. LEDs indicate state either by on/off state or by blinking.
The IS420ESWAH1A uses a DIN-rail mounting system. Fiber/copper wires should be attached as required by the system and redundancy. This information can be found using GE’s Control System Vol I System Guide for the Mark VIe (GEH-6721) in the Ethernet Networks chapter. Only certain DIN-rail clips will work with these switches. In the case of the ESWA, you have the option of using either the 259B2451BVP1 clip for a mounting orientation with the long edge of the switch body located parallel to the rail, or the 259B2451BVP2 if you prefer a perpendicular mount.
For additional information about the IS420ESWAH1A, please refer to documents like manuals and user guides from General Electric. These will provide important information including dimensions, power ratings, and vibration limitations.
