The operating temperature for the H2-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications Module is 32° to 140° F (0° to 60°C). The H2-ECOM100 electrical power is supplied by the base. The electrical power consumption is 300mA. The H2-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications module connects to the network using standard RJ45 modular connectors. The link distance is 100 meters (328 feet).
You can use a laptop, desktop, or other device with a 10/100BaseT network adapter card installed and NetEdit3 software to configure the H0-ECOM100 module over the network. You can also use the NetEdit3 software for troubleshooting some communication problems.
The NetEdit3 software utility can be used to set network identifiers (ModuleID or IP Address), perform diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks, and upgrade the firmware in the H0-ECOM100 module.
You can also assign a module ID using the DIP switches on the module. Use the DIP switches if you want the ability to install or change modules without using a laptop, desktop, or other device to set the Module ID.
The front of the H0-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications module provides status indicators.
LINK When green, the module is properly connected to the network.
ACT Red or flashing red indicates active network data.
ERR When red, or flashing red, a fatal error has occurred.
100 When green, Ethernet data is detected at 100BaseT frequency.
Use the H0-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications module to share data between two or more DirectLOGIC PLCs or between DirectLOGIC PLCs and a laptop, desktop, or other device. The H0-ECOM100 also allows client/server communications with other Ethernet devices using the MODBUS TCP protocol.
The H0-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications module provides a low-cost, high-speed Ethernet link for DL05 series, DL06 series, and DL405 series PLC devices. The H0-ECOM100 Ethernet Communications module is designed for use on a 10/100 BaseT (twisted pair, copper wire) Ethernet network.
