About the F0-04AD-1

The F0-04AD-1 is part of the DL05 and DL06 lines from Automation Direct. This particular component functions as a 4-Channel Analog Current Input card. The F0-04AD-1 is designed to allow the DL05 or DL06 systems to read all four channels of the analog component in a single scan. The F0-04AD-1 includes:

• a removable terminal block
• field wiring that remains in place when removing and replacing the module
• standard Direct Logic rack system compatibility
• several jumpers

Once the new module is installed, the removable terminal block can be re-installed on the front of the new component. The F0-04AD-1 is designed as a plug and play component that fits into a standard Direct Logic rack system. The unit has an input range of zero to 20 mA, or it can be changed via jumper to 4 to 20mA. The J3 Jumper will determine this level. Default jumper settings will maintain a 4-20 mA signal source. Its absolute max raters are -30mA to +30 mA current input. It is designed for use within a temperature range of 0-60 degrees Celsius where the relative humidity is between 5 to 95%, non-condensing.

It is important to note this unit will not supply any power to field devices. Power to field devices will require power transmitters from the PLC.
