About the LS-521
The Woodward LS-5 LS-521 Marine Circuit Breaker Sync Controller, as you can probably base off of its title alone, was originally developed for a smaller Woodward Series the the LS-5 Series. With this in mind, the Woodward LS-5 LS-521 Marine Circuit Breaker Sync Controller has a range of functionality, including in:
- Phase match/slip frequency synchronizing (voltage matching)
- Load sharing segment control
- 300-entry event logging
- Locking Keypad functionality
LS-521 Marine Controller Hardware Analysis
The LS-521 Marine Controller Module from Woodward featured here is made up of a unique series of hardware components and component specifications, which seems to include its:
- Eight (8) discrete outputs
- Six (6) relay outputs
- HMI display interface
- Phase shift system A protection
- Front panel mounting
It should be noted that the absence of any LED light indicators combined with the presence of an HMI operator interface display are the main differences between this LS-521 Marine and tis LS-511 Marine counterpart within the same LS-5 product series. Other differences do exist in mounting strategies.
