Configure Your G60 Generator Protection System

The G60 Generator Protection System Series consists of microprocessor based relays that provide a variety of functions to alternating current (AC) generators, which are driven by gas, steam, or hydraulic turbines. These relays come with a set of standard features, including current, voltage, and power metering. The G60 Generator Protection System Series also includes fault diagnostics. 

There are several options for communication on the G60 relays. There is a faceplate-embedded RS232 port that allows for connections with a computer for programming settings and monitoring actual values. There is also a rear RS485 port that is designed for independent access by operating and engineering staff. The serial ports use the Modbus RTU protocol. 

The G60 Series also has several security features available. G60 relays can be protected by password security, EnerVista security, and CyberSentry security. The password security is a basic feature, whereas the EnerVista security and CyberSentry security provide more specialized security for the relays. The G60 Protection System Series maintains protection for AC generators with secure, high speed elements.
