The Multilin F35 is a feeder protection system that provides protection, control, and monitoring in a single device. The F35s can protect up to six feeders or up to five feeders when bus voltage measurements are needed. The F35s have distribution load shedding schemes based on voltage and frequency levels. These devices also have busblocking and throw over schemes. The F35s also offer backup protection for transmission lines, feeders, and transformers. 

The F35s have monitoring and metering capabilities that include a fault and disturbance recorder. The recordings reduce the time needed for postmortem analysis of the devices, which also reduces costs. The recording also has a sequence of events feature, which holds 1024 time stamped events. The monitoring capabilities also extend to advanced device health diagnostics, with the device health being monitored during start up and as the device runs continuously. 

The F35s have advanced communications technologies, which helps with remote data and engineering access. The devices have three available Ethernet ports, along with a redundant Ethernet option and an embedded managed Ethernet switch. These features help the device remain fault tolerant in communications. The communications features also include Direct I/O messaging, which allows for digital information to be shared between UR devices. The F35s provide control and protection to a variety of different feeders.
