About the IS420UCSDH1A
The IS420UCSDH1A is a Quad Core Controller that was manufactured by GE Energy. This controller is designed to be used in the Mark VIe Series. The UCSD controller is also equipped with a QNX Neutrino real-time multi-tasking capable operating system with real-time hypervisor technology. These applications allow the IS420UCSDH1A controller to:
- run highly reliable high-speed industrial applications
- apply Predix cloud-based applications with Embedded Field Agent Technology
- deliver real-time data over a secure web application
With the equipped IONet the IS420UCSDH1A controller can run a number of applications and firmware of the Mark VIe series, note that while the IONet is used in different applications it can only support Mark control I/O packs and controllers. External data can be transferred both to and from the system database when the controller is using the IONet interfaces.
IS420UCSDH1A Configuration and Ports
As this controller is similar to the UCSC controller it can be used with ControlST V07.01 software and can be used in TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) simplex, and dual redundancy applications. This controller also has three platform configuration-supported features, these features are:

- embedded PPNG
- embedded EtherCAT configurations
The IS420UCSDH1A controller has six Ethernet ports, five of which are on the front panel with one of them being on the bottom which allows for Predix connectivity.
