This model is one of the many in a series of digital Input and Output modules from Parker Eurotherm SSD (Solid State Drives), the industrial automation tools and equipment subdivision of the Parker Hannifin Corporation. Unfortunately, this line, as well as many of these products from Parker Eurotherm SSD have been completely discontinued. The L5101-1-00-012 Solid State Drive LINK Digital I/O Module is a smart device, capable of transferring data from its 12 digital Input and Output ports. While the L5101 is in Input mode, the I/O terminals are able to provide a 6 milliampere current, but while it is Output mode, its I/O terminals has a 6 milliampere current when processing high, and then sinks up to 90 milliamperes when running a low amount of data.
The L1201-1-00-012 module may be configured to perform a wide variety of control processing functions (including relay logic replacement, timing, counting, complex sequencing, etc). Information from the module is available to other modules in the SSD LINK system.
The L5101-1-00-012’s LCD touch screen display makes it able for an operator to use it to be able to connect a standard pair of LINK Modules, which in turn, plug in to the compatible series of boards, making up an important series of industrial equipment.
