Product Description
The IS215UCVDH5AA is an older version of the UCV controller that is part of the Mark VI system. The Mark VI is a control, protection, and management platform designed by GE for their heavy-duty gas and steam turbines. This system comes in both simplex and TMR form.
The IS215UCVDH5AA is mounted in the VME rack of the Mark VI system. It uses a QNX operating system and has a 300 MHz AMD K6 processor. This has 16 MB of DRAM and 8 MB of flash memory. The front faceplate of the component has many components mounted into its surface, including Status LEDs, two Genius Bus connections, COM ports, LPT ports, a mouse/keyboard port, and other connectors. The status LEDs on the front panel generate diagnostic alarms, but they also display controller errors if problems occur. If the controller detects system error, usually during boot-up or download, the board will display flashing and non-flashing codes on the green status LEDs.
The IS215UCVDH5AA controller is loaded with software that is specific to its application, whether it is used in gas, steam, or balance of plant (BOP) products. The component can execute up to 100,000 rungs or blocks each second. There is an external clock interrupt that allows the controller to sync with the VCMI clock to within +/- 100 microseconds.
