Made by General Electric, the IS215ACLEH1A is one of several Application Control Layer Modules, or ACLs, available within AX Control’s inventory.  ACLs are microprocessor-based master controllers.  They are used to complete many tasks across communication protocols like IsBus and Ethernet.  The board is typically mounted within either an EX2100 exciter rack or an Innovation series drive.  The board uses two half-slots. 

The IS215ACLEH1A has a front faceplate connected to the circuit board.  This faceplate includes a reset button, a status LED panel, OK, Active, ENET, and Flash LED indicators, two Ethernet ports, and two COM ports.  

The IS215ACLEH1A board is built with a right-angle connector on its rear edge.  It also has vertical pin connectors within the body of the board.  Several ribbon connectors are present within the body of the board, used to connect one device to the other.  Most board components are marked with reference designations or with their original manufacturer part numbers. 

When replacing the IS215ACLEH1A, it is important to wear a wrist grounding strap.  This is to ensure mounted components are not damaged by static electricity.  To that end, we will ship these boards using antistatic bags and other static-sensitive handling techniques.   For full installation instructions, please refer to documentation originally provided by General Electric.  This may include Innovation manuals, product guides, or data sheets that relate to components.
