The GE Gate Pulse Amplifier Board DS200FGPAG1A provides power for one phase of a SCR bridge, accumulates cell voltage information, and converts ac current to the dc control voltage required by the board.

The DS200FGPAG1A board has 1 fibre optic port for transmitting and 14 fiber optic ports for receiving for a very fast and reliable network. Two of the receiving ports are dedicated to duplex fiber optic networks and the remaining are dedicated to  simplex fiber optic networks. Fiber optic networks are especially useful in a manufacturing environment because electrical interference does not affect the signals. That means you can run the fiber optic cables bundled with the 3-phase power cables, or any other cable.

Also, fiber optic cables can run for greater length than copper wire networks. The runs can be even longer if repeaters are added to the networks. With repeaters the lengths can be doubled. You can add a maximum of  2 repeaters to the network. When you design the fiber optic cabling routes make sure the bend radius is not tighter than the radius recommended in the specifications. If they are tighter, it might weaken the signal or damage the cables. You can configure the fiber optic network by reducing or increasing the signal strength. This depends on the length of the fiber optic cables and other factors.
