603670-109 is a central processing unit (CPU) board manufactured by Delta Tau. This board was developed to interface with members of the PMAC 2 motion control system. A PMAC 2 - PC/104 CPU board, it provides high volume axis control. An integrated digital signal processor (DSP) provides expanded system uses. Stand alone operation is also possible with this CPU as it includes an Ethernet, USB, and RS232 ports.
Following all provided installation and storage parameters will protect the device from avoidable damages. Components found on 603670-109 are sensitive and should be handled carefully. Only qualified personnel should install the board into the PMAC controller. Discharge all static electricity from hands before handling the board. Static energy can transfer to the board and corrupt and corrode the circuits, disrupting normal board activities.
When installing the board install it in an appropriate enclosure. PMAC systems and their boards should be installed in encasings such as electrical cabinets or computers. These spaces will protect the entire PMAC system from environmental risks, like extreme temperatures, high moisture, or airborne debris. Conditions in the operating facility can affect the outputs generated by the board as well as the PMAC system. When installed and operating on a production line, the ambient temperature of the facility should be maintained between 0℃ and 45℃, or 32℉ and 113℉.
