603605-102 is a flex central processing unit (CPU) developed by Delta Tau. This board was developed to interface directly with PMAC2 products, include VME, PC, PCI, and Turbo systems. Flex boards are manufactured with a number of new parts, prolonging the life of the board. Increased system longevity and an array of expanded capabilities are features of the CPU. When installed into a PMAC controller, the board provides system execution as detailed by the user. Simultaneous control of multiple motion axes is available when this board is installed. System performance is amplified with the integrated Digital Signal Processor (DSP). This quickly and accurately performs all system calculations for the CPU board. Serial interfacing can occur using this board via an RS422 connection.
Following provided installation and storage parameters will protect 603605-102 from any preventable damages. Trained personnel who are qualified to install these boards should be the only users allowed to handle this unit. Installation procedures require extreme precision as the device can be easily disrupted. Before handling the board, discharge all static electricity from hands. This will prevent the energy from transferring to the board, potentially corroding the device's circuits. When installing, the entire system should be housed in an enclosed environment.
