Product Description
603367-103 is a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) board designed by Delta Tau. This unit was developed to interface with the PMAC 2 series of multi-axes controllers. Specifically, this board works to interface with servo drives and pulse and direction stepper drives. With the appropriate software, this board is capable of supporting and controlling eight axes. Additional external axes can be controlled via the expansion port. When connected to ACC-24P or ACC-24P2, an additional eight axes can be controlled using this PCI board. The board itself is a full-sized expansion card that can be installed directly into the controlling unit. Integrated into the PCI board is a 40 MHz CPU to control the system. 128K x 24 of flash SRAM is also included on the device. An additional 512K x 8 of flash memory is also available to store firmwares and user backups. PCI bus interfacing is possible as well as serial I/O communications using an RS232 or RS422 connection.
The manufacturer provided a complete list of safety and installation parameters that should be followed to prevent any damages to the device. 603367-103 should only be handled by personnel trained to install computer boards. Sensitivities of the device require careful handling and installation practices. Discharge all static electricity before beginning to install the board. This energy can corrode or damage the circuitry on the device. The system itself should be installed in a protected environment, such as an electrical cabinet or a personal computer. Enclosures like these will protect the entire system from temperatures, moisture, and debris. The series manual as well as the device datasheet contains a complete guide to installing the board. Delta Tau provided original technical support for the device.
