Product Description
The Delta Tau 602404-100 is a VME board. A bus expansion card, this board was developed to interface with the PMAC 2 series of motion controllers. It can be applied to a number of uses on a production line, such as robotics, packaging, and general purpose automation. A 40 MHz encoder count rate and 18 bit analog outputs allow this board to operate efficiently. A ±10 V analog velocity and torque command is integrated into the device, providing expanded system applications. MACRO ring connectivity is also possible when using this board.
Manufacturer provided storage and installation parameters should be followed to prevent any damages to the device. 602404-100 features sensitive components that require caution when handling or installing the board. Qualified personnel are the only users who should be tasked with mounting or installing the unit. Before touching the device, be sure to discharge all static electricity from hands. Static energy can disrupt and corrode the circuits found on the board, resulting in unit errors.
Installation sites for this board should be in enclosed casings. Acceptable locations include electrical cabinets as well as personal computers. These spaces will prevent environmental contaminants, such as floating debris, extreme temperatures, and excessive moisture from penetrating the device. Operating conditions can affect the device and should be closely monitored. Ambient temperatures can safely range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. A complete installation guide can be found in the VME series manual as well as the device datasheet. Technical support for this board was originally provided by the manufacturer, Delta Tau.
