The Cognex IS561000 is a mounted identification system designed for the Insight 5000 series. Accuracy and speed are combined to offer this code and text reading device. A proprietary identification software, IDMax, provides the system with the ability to read and verify both text and 1-/2- dimensional barcodes. Advanced OCR/OCV tools allow the device to intelligently read printed text in addition to various barcodes. Fast system speeds are built into the device, allowing for a code reading rate of 7200 ppm. Image acquisition happens in real time as the lens can capture 60 full frames per second. These features work in tandem with the 20 times speed rating to provide the best high-speed production line monitoring system.
IS561000 processes images using the 256 MB of photo storage. All processed photos are rendered into a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Job and program storage is also available using the 128 MB of flash memory. As a high performance model, this device features a 1 GHz processor to execute its expansive Cognex tool library. This library is what houses all integrated ID tool sets, including barcode and text verification and image filters. Interfacing with external I/O modules is available via a RS232C connection. System networking is simple as the device features an Ethernet and a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol.
Maintaining the integrity of the device depends upon following all installation and storage parameters. While operating, IS561000 requires a controlled climate to protect it from extreme temperatures. Ambient temperatures while operating on a production line can range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. Storage conditions can also impact the device and should be controlled as well. These temperatures can safely range from -30℃, or -22℉, to 80℃, or 176℉.
