Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo T1F-16RTD is a resistance temperature detector (RTD) input module. A member of the Terminator I/O series, this sixteen channel device can interface with a number of peripheral devices and logic controllers. Incoming temperatures are displayed as ℃ or ℉, with a resolution of ±0.1℃. These readings require no extra scaling or calculations by the user.

Unnecessary circuit overloading can be managed by managing incoming voltage information. A base power requirement of 150 mA (max), 5 VDC is necessary for the device to function. T1F-16RTD allows a common mode range of 0 to 5 VDC, with a sustained absolute maximum rating of ±50 VDC. Six different input ranges are supported by the module, with selection dependent upon the need of the user. Ranges included are Pt100, Pt1000, jPt100, Type CU - 10, Type CU - 25, and 120 Ω Nickel. Temperature inputs accepted by the module are dependent upon input type selected. Some of these types can register readings as low as -328℉, or -200℃, while others can register ones as high as 1562℉, or 850℃. A separately sold mounting base is required to complete device installation.

Following all outlined storage and installation protocols help to prevent the device from damages. Although the module can register extreme temperatures, the device itself is not suited for extreme environments. When T1F-16RTD is operating, ambient temperatures can safely dip as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and jump as high as 60℃, or 140℉. If the device is not in use and placed in storage, temperatures of that facility should also be monitored. Acceptable storage temperatures range from -20℃ to 70℃, or -4℉ to 158℉. All wiring and installation parameters can be found in the device manual and datasheet. All technical support for this device was provided by the original manufacturer.
