T1F-16AD-1 is an analog current input module developed by Automation Direct, Facts Engineering, and Koyo. This sixteen channel module is a member of the Terminator I/O series, capable of communicating with a number of programmable logic controllers and peripheral devices. A single ended module, each of the sixteen points terminates into a single common. The integrated 14-bit resolution works to precisely convert the incoming analog current signals into CPU friendly digital signals. Three input ranges, -20 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA, are supported by this module. Expect a frequency response of -3 db at 500 Hz, with -20 db/decade from the module.

Monitoring voltage and current inputs helps to prolong the longevity of the device. A base power requirement of 75 mA at 5 VDC is needed to power T1F-16AD-1. The module can also support an absolute maximum voltage rating of 8V. To install the module, be sure that the proper mounting kit has been purchased. This mounting rack highlights a key design feature of the Terminator I/O series. Installation and removal of the module is simple, with a snap function easily clamping or releasing the specified device.

Be sure to follow all recommended storage and installation guidelines, as this prevents device damage. While installing the module, mount it horizontally to allow air to freely flow around the device. This circulation acts as a cooling agent to the module, preventing overheating. Ambient temperature of the facility housing the module should be monitored as well. When operating, temperatures should hold between 32℉ and 131℉, or 0℃ and 55℃. Greater variation is allowed when the device is in storage. Temperatures of the storing facility can register as low as -4℉, or -20℃, and as high as 158℉, or 70℃.
