Product Description

The DL405 MODBUS RTU Base Controller is a product crafted by the Automation Direct company. Koyo and PLC Direct were the main producers of the part. The purpose of the controller is to allow connection I/O to be slave stations on a MODBUS RTU network. The controller has the ability to connect to a PC and various devices in the DL405 family. For safe operation use, the ambient temperature of should stay between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. The humidity of the device while in operation should stay between 5% and 95%. The user should also take notice of the temperature when the device is in storage. The storage temperature should stay between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. There is also a NEMA noise immunity that protects the system from noise pollution.

The dimensions of the DL405 MODBUS RTU Base Controller is 1.89 x 3.15 x 3.28 and weighs 6.0 ounces. To run the system, there must be 250 mA at 5VDC. There are two connection ports on the system. The first connection port is the MODBUS port which is an 8-bit RS-422/485 port. With this port you have a choice between odd, even, or no parity. The second connection port is the RJ12 serial port, which is RS232C port. The parity is fixed to being odd.
