T1F-8AD4DA-2 is a combination analog voltage module developed by Automation Direct, Facts Engineering, and Koyo. This module features eight analog voltage input channels and four analog voltage output channels. A member of the Terminator I/O series, this device offers interfacing capabilities with a number of peripheral devices and programmable logic controllers.

Both input and output voltages can affect the device and should be routinely monitored. T1F-8AD4DA-2 supports two input ranges, 0 to 5 V and 0 to 10 V ±5V, ±10V. Channels into the module feature a fault protected input, preventing the device from failing during a power surge. It can sustain an absolute maximum rating of 130V (rms) or 100 VDC. A single common acts as the terminating location for all eight of the input points. Once data has been received, the module’s 14-bit resolution works to convert those analog voltage signals into a digital medium.

The output channels on the device can vary depending on the need of the user. Two output ranges are supported by the module, 0 to 5 V and 0 to 10 V, ±5V, ±10V. The peak output voltage that the module can produce rates at 15 VDC. Outputs are single-ended, with all of the channels terminating at a single common. When converting outgoing signals back into analog voltage, a 12-bit resolution is used to translate the data.

Be sure to follow all outlined storage and installation parameters to protect the device. When installing, use the correct mounting base which is sold as a separate unit. Once the device is ready to be installed, mount it horizontally. This will allow air to freely circulate around the device, acting as a cooling agent. Ambient temperatures around the module should be monitored to prevent device malfunctions. Temperatures can safely fall to 32℉, or 0℃, and raise to 140℉, or 60℃.
