Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo T1F-8AD4DA-1 is a combination analog current module. This unit includes eight analog current input channels and four analog current output channels. A member of the Terminator I/O series, this module is capable of communicating with a number of peripheral devices, modules, and controllers. While sending or receiving data to the PLC, one channel will be updated per scan of the CPU.

Both the input and output channels of T1F-8AD4DA-1 offer varying current and voltage rates, depending on application and user specification. Three input ranges are supported by the module, -20 to 20mA, 0 to 20mA, and 4 to 20mA. Absolute maximum ratings spike higher, ranging as high as 8V. A single ended common acts as the terminating point for the eight channels. When processing the incoming data, the module uses a 14-bit resolution to precisely convert the analog current signals into a digital medium.

Output channels on the device offer varying configurations. All four of the channels offer the ability to be wired as either a sinking or sourcing output. Regardless of configuration, all four of the channels terminate in a single common, offering a single ended output. Signals are converted back into analog current using the integrated 12-bit resolution. The module is capable of supporting an output range of 4 to 20 mA.

Following all outlined storage and installation guidelines will prevent superfluous device damage. When installing, be sure to purchase the correct mounting base. Mount the device horizontally, allowing air to freely circulate the module and cool it down. Ambient temperatures of the operating facility should be closely monitored. Acceptable temperatures can range from 0℃ to 60℃, or 32℉ to 140℉. A complete list of all wiring and installation parameters is available in the series manual and the device datasheet.
