F0-08DAH-2 is an eight channel analog voltage output module by Automation Direct, Facts Engineering, and Koyo. The module is designed to work with DirectLogic 05 and DirectLogic 06 series programmable logic controllers. It converts outgoing digital signals into analog voltage signals that peripheral devices can input. Over thirty modules were designed to allow the PLCs to function in a number of environments. The channels of the DL05/06 modules are all updated in a single scan of the controller’s internal CPU. These terminal blocks are easily installable, and are simply removed without rewiring the controller.
A high definition unit, the module features a full 16-bit resolution to produce high quality conversions. To function well, certain software requirements must be met. If the module is installed in a DL05 PLC, it requires DirectSOFT32 version 3.0c or later and firmware version 5.20 or later. DL06 controllers, conversely, have different software requirements. The module is supported by DirectSOFT32 version v4.0, build 16 or later and firmware version 2.30 or later.
Following proper storage and installation parameters ensures the longevity of F0-08DAH-2. When installed in a DL05/06 PLC, ambient temperatures can range as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and as high as 55℃, or 131℉. Should the device go in storage, temperatures can range from -20℃ to 70℃, or -4℉ to 158℉. Automation Direct provided original technical support for the modules and controllers.
